Back in 2005, Cambodian immigrant Vanna Sok unexpectedly turned to a new kitchen-based career after losing his job, taking over the original Floating Rock location in Revere. The small 'mom and pop' space became a wildly raved-about local gem, eventually inspiring Sok's daughter Jenny to open a bigger, beefed-up version.
